OUR STORY
United Traders Ltd was created to shape the future of Mauritius by supplying a.b.e solutions directly to the building, civil engineering and building maintenance industries.
a.b.e. ® Industrial Products (OI) Ltd underwent a structural change following its continued expansion and acquired 100% Mauritian shares under TUSK Holding, a major supplier of high-performance products to the building, civil engineering, maintenance, builder’s merchant and hardware store business.
a.b.e. ® Construction Chemicals was acquired by CHRYSO, a leading international supplier of concrete and cement admixtures. This acquisition provides a.b.e. ® with new technologies and ongoing research and development programs to further enhance our position in the market and add value to our customers.
a.b.e. ® Industrial Products launched MEP (Mortiers-Enduits-Professionnels) to substantially meet the needs and demands of construction professionals on the market. MEP produces and distributes solutions for the laying and realisation of self-levelling screeds and floors.
Saint Gobain, the worldwide leader in light and sustainable construction, acquired a majority stake in a.b.e ® Industrial Products, making us more committed to bringing the highest level of service and craftsmanship to every project. The Group’s commitment is guided by its purpose, “MAKING THE WORLD A BETTER HOME”.

The group innovated through different approaches and sustainable solutions by partnering up with a.b.e Construction Chemicals. We became a.b.e ® Industrial Products (IO) Ltd and positioned ourselves as the first local manufacturer of Construction Chemicals in the island.
We invested, for the first time, in drymix mortars machinery and progressively set us apart from typical distributors.
We officially launched La Joliette Factory in Petite Rivière, Black River District and served all our customers through a strong network of merchants and hardware stores around the island.
a.b.e ® Industrial Products partnered with PLAKA and then TenCate to bring together first-class technology with a customer-focused approach and we became the best choice for single-source products, services and solutions.
